ID 5500 - Link to an existing database via ODBC
ID 5500 software is the preferred choice for users who wish to use an existing database for the production of ID cards.  It is ODBC compliant and can be easily connected to databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and Microsoft Access, allowing an organisation the benefit of maintaining one master database.

With ID 5500's modular structure, it is easy to connect to an existing database (with Database Layout Creator) and create card layouts (with Badge Creator)./  Once the database structure is set and the layouts created, the operator uses 5500 to add photos and signatures to the database, check data and card design and print the cards.  Photos and signatures can be stored as Binary Large Objects inside the existing database or as separate files.  IS 5500 has all the advanced options needed by large organisations or service bureaux: automatic fill options, bulk input, advanced barcode library, multiple photo storage per record an magstripe & chip encoding.
